Often when people think about therapy, they do so with the story of “what’s wrong with me.” My perspective, however, is that “you are not the problem; the problem is the problem.” So, although I am interested in walking alongside you as you tackle the things that are getting in the way of having the life you desire, I bring a slightly different approach--one that focuses on alternative versions of our personal stories, writing the future we hope to have, thinking through the roles we perform, and finding your strengths and what works and building upon them. I do not believe that any one approach works for every problem and every person any more than we could use a single tool to make every home or auto repair. If you feel like you could use someone to come along side of you in this portion of life’s journey, I invite you to contact me at Hope Haven Therapy, PLLC. We will work together to identify the right tools to do the work at hand.
